How do hackers gain access to your gaming account?

Initially, they require sensitive information related to your account, such as your Supercell ID, account email address, or the mobile number associated with your Supercell ID. They often employ deceptive tactics to obtain this information, which may include requesting screenshots or persuading you to share details in various creative ways.

Next, they need your One-Time Pin (OTP). Once they have acquired your sensitive information, they can log into Clash of Clans (CoC) while impersonating you. At this point, CoC will prompt them for the OTP, which is sent to your email or mobile device. If the hacker has access to your email account (for instance, if they have your email password), the situation becomes dire. Alternatively, they may request the OTP through different channels, such as email, a URL link, or other inventive platforms.

Finally, once the hacker gains access to your account, they can change the registered email address and/or mobile number to their own. At this stage, they have completely taken control of your account. If you are a clan leader, they will also assume ownership of your clan.

After this breach, your account will likely be irretrievable, and the process for Clash of Clans to investigate the situation can be protracted. 

Therefore, it is crucial to avoid making errors during the initial and subsequent stages of this process.
